On the issue of gun control one thing that suprised me when i was doing my research is that there is much more to the debate than the majority of the general public thinks. Most people in our society think that gun control is a very simple issue. However, it is more than just the second amendment that is being debated. There are many different other issues involved. Such as the right for people to protect themselves.

In this essay the she is talking about how the barbie doll has been percieved in our culture and the impact they have on young women. This is a topic that is important since the majority of girls in America own one if not more than one Barbie doll. She first states that Barbie's were created for women to have something that they can aspire to be like. However, sicne Barbie has rediculous proportions and is not usually percieved as beign very intellegent, she would not be a good role model to have.
